JOB SUMMARY: Financeware Inc. dba Wealthcare Capital Management is seeking a candidate to perform a range of Portfolio Operations tasks in our Richmond, VA office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Completing & Processing new account paperwork
- Reconcilement between custodial data and our portfolio accounting system
- Processing distributions from client accounts
- Supporting advisors by obtaining resolution to client inquiries
- Maintaining physical and electronic files of client and advisor records and contracts
- Periodic client correspondence mailings and some client correspondence creation
- Entering trades on custodian platforms
- Reviewing trade worksheets and executions to confirm accuracy
Skills/Qualities:
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines, sometimes under short time constraints - excellent self management prioritization skills are mandatory
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office - particularly Excel
- Organizational and problem resolution skills
- Generally good mathematical "sense"
REQUIREMENTS: Prior industry experience is a plus, but not a requirement as is a preference for some familiarity with various types of investment securities, and account opening & account transfer terminology. Prior experience with portfolio accounting systems is highly valued, and more specifically Portfolio Center hands on experience. We work in a team environment where skill flexibility and aptitude to cross-train with other areas of firm is highly valued. College degree strongly preferred.

JOB SUMMARY: Financeware Inc. dba Wealthcare Capital Management is seeking a candidate for a dual-purpose position with a firm that values highly multi-skilled, multi-function trained associates who have wide-ranging talents. The position includes working with our Financial Planning and Portfolio Operations groups in providing a variety of entry level responsibilities.
One aspect of this position includes a variety of supporting roles in Portfolio Operations:
- Preparing and managing client agreements and account set up and maintenance documents in coordination with financial advisors
- Reconciling portfolio to custodial records and creating and placing trades for managed client accounts
- Supporting data creation and report production for portfolio performance reporting
- Coordinating with Planning area on client cash activities and the correct portfolio determined by the clients' ongoing continuously advised personal Wealthcare plan.
The other key aspect involves working in the Planning area.
- Generating quality Wealthcare advice working with the firm's proprietary technology and processes based on client profiling data gathered by our financial advisors and third-party advisors whose clients we provide the same services as our own advisory clients.
- Ongoing monitoring and modifications to advice in order to give client sufficient confidence of exceeding their goals based on their priorities and tradeoffs among their goals
- Preparing quarterly Status Reports to reflect the client's progress over time.
From time to time there will be other responsibilities.
- Testing new third-party trading systems, internal sub-systems and other proprietary web-based planning process technology will be required.
- Testing our proprietary technology
- Once core competency in the Wealthcare advice process is achieved, assisting in training of co-workers and financial advisors.
- Occasional special projects.
The Portfolio Operations and Planning areas often have cyclical workloads that will determine which tasks will be primary activities for a given day, or series of days. Once fully trained, assignment to work in any of the areas described is possible.
REQUIREMENTS: Prior industry experience is a plus, but not a requirement as is a familiarity with various types of investment securities. Prior experience with planning, portfolio accounting and trading systems is highly valued, and more specifically Portfolio Center and Tamarac hands on experience. The ideal candidate has great attention to detail and solid math and Excel skills. We work in a team environment where skill flexibility and aptitude to cross-train with other areas of the firm is highly valued. College degree is strongly preferred. Within a reasonable period of being hired, the candidate must pass the Series 65 exam.
CORPORATE PARALEGAL

JOB SUMMARY: Financeware Inc. dba Wealthcare Capital Management is seeking an experienced paralegal to assist in the legal and compliance needs of a SEC Registered Investment Adviser based in Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Chief Compliance Officer in compliance with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other SEC regulations
- Creation and review of contracts. (Contract categories include technology and intellectual property licensing, as well as a variety of investment advisory agreements)
- Other general corporate business law matters (leases, vendor contracts, legal and compliance correspondence)
Skills/Qualifications:
- Superior organizational and prioritization skills
- Good writing and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
REQUIREMENTS: At least 3 years paralegal experience either in a corporate legal department or law firm environment. A Bachelors Degree and Certificate from ABA-approved paralegal school are preferred. Familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 is a plus but not required.
PORTFOLIO MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY: Position is more operational in nature, involving placing managed client accounts in ETF portfolios tied into client's ongoing financial planning process. Working with legacy client securities, short-term known client cash flows in typically multiple account households is part of the portfolio manager decision making, but the primary decision making expertise involves security placement in various client accounts within the household based on the tax status of accounts and the target portfolio in a manner that reduces the likelihood of excess trades and those related costs and maximizes after-tax returns.

JOB SUMMARY: Financeware Inc. dba Wealthcare Capital Management is seeking a candidate for an entry level position at our Richmond, VA office. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is eager to learn and develop new skills and to take on increasing levels of responsibility within the company.
This position fills the role of administrative assistant for the company. Within this role you will be exposed to a wide range of supporting activities within the financial services industry-including investment advising and financial planning, portfolio management, web and wealth management software development testing, marketing and business development-giving you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and work experience on a daily basis. A background in finance is helpful but not required. We are looking for a fast-learner who is enthusiastic about taking on new challenges.
Initial responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- General office management and administrative support to around 25 associates
- Maintaining physical and electronic files of company and client records
- Maintaining inventory of office supplies
- Organizing and planning various events including in-office meetings, monthly employee events, and conferences
- Making travel arrangements
- Periodic client correspondence mailings and some client correspondence creation
- Covering main office phone line and directing calls
- Proofing and editing client correspondence, PowerPoint presentations and sales material as well as industry articles written by the company's CEO, CFO and other Executive officers
